Well we drove pretty much straight through 1400km from France. We did stop for a nap along the way at a service station and finally arrived Friday afternoon. We dropped into Sephina and unloaded then went out to see Sophie Hunger play live at the Apolo. Great concert , after we had Pizza at about midnight then went to drive home and ..ooops, where's the car???!
Turned out it had been towed for parking illegally ..oops..250 euros and 2 hrs. later we finally collected it and slept like babies for the first time aboard in months.
The next day we decided to go shopping and on the way home the bloody car broke down…another tow truck back to the boat yard ! Luckily Jens insurance paid for that one. The car is sitting sadly outside the yard waiting for a mechanic but I'm considering just sending it to the wreckers…we will wait and see, its been a bit of a pain with registration hassles.
We had planned to Antifoul Sephina on Sunday but its been raining every day since we arrived so we have postponed the launch date till she is ready.
Finally good weather on Tuesday so we broke out the rollers and brushes and 10 l of International Uni Pro Antifoul paint (about 350 euro worth) and got stuck into it.
6 hrs later she looks like new, after 2 full coats.
Only holdup was when Balrog got in a fight with Pongo the yard dog and we had to walk to the Vet to see if anything could be done with his tooth that is now sticking out at a 30 degree angle from where it’s supposed to be. Not much can be done so its wait and see if it heals itself or falls out (hopefully not) It’s not really worrying him..
Apparently tomorrow is a public holiday so we will have to wait till Thursday to re launch. well that’s the plan today..
